Schedules, are different from Monday thru Fridays and from Saturday & Sundays.
Once a month we have a ferry that goes from Vieques Island to Culebra Island and returns on the same date.
All these trip are subject to the weather conditions, US Coast Gard, Protests, Maintenance.
The cost is usually $2.00 per person because is a “Toll Fee”, since the MTA services declared our principal maritime road.
Reservations Office are available from Monday thru Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm.

If you are not a resident, to make a reservations with your own car it could be very difficult. You will need the car and driver registration but residents are a priority.
We don’t suggest to bring a rented car from the Main Island (Puerto Rico) but if you want to bring it make sure you have secure your Round Trip. Rent a vehicle in Vieques, please check the “Transportation” section below.
Our airport is Antonio Rivera Rodriguez (he was a mayor that had the longest term) There is plenty of lightweight make sure you pack light.
The commercial airlines usually fully book (in high season- Nov. to Feb.)
If you are trying to go to Culebra Island as well from Vieques book with Vieques Air Link as a commercial airline.
For charters for a maximum of three (5) people try with Taxi Aereo is around $385.00 the cost of the total flight.
If you are looking into a Luxury Experience Charter Services, check on Air America, M&N Aviation, Air Sunshine, Air Flamenco. The most commercial one is Cape Air from the San Juan International Airport (SJU).

Transportation
The land transportation can be arranged from the main island to over Vieques? Yes, we have a staff working as operators ant taxi drivers in the Main Island of Puerto Rico.
If you are flying to Vieques on the same day? There is most of the time “Publicos” on waiting line outside of the airport in Vieques but usually $5.00 -$10.00 per person minimum 2 people.
Vieques Taxi usually is $16.00 per trip from the Vieques Airport to Isabel Segunda.
From the Ferry Terminal to Esperanza is $20.00 approximately per ride.
There is no Uber, only in Vieques but you can download 741 Taxi app available on App Store or Androids Apps.
If you want the Taxi to wait for you make sure you reserve in advance at 787-741-TAXI (8294) If you are an international traveller please use what’s app to 787-741-8747.
Confirm you departure of your flight, when are you boarding, make sure you tell them from which airport from the Main Island are you boarding.

This is #1 Top Activity in Puerto Rico, the Mosquito Bay is been recognized this year as the #1 of 7 Natural Wonders of the World (cntraveller.com) and has the World Guinness Record as the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world.
What are you waiting for?
All of they have different pick up locations but the majority will be in Esperanza town, El Malecón (The main strip).
The bay is a inclose bay, is no even wavy (flat), almost every tour companies describes the phenomenon and the stars alignment.
Even if you don’t know how to swim you should do very well, for the protection of the bay no body is allow to swim.
They also will manage the time and information so everyone will have the same info.
Some of the companies are Abe’s, Fun Brothers, Melayas, Taino Aquadventures, Travesias Yaureibo, Dindin, Dondi, Jak Watersports, BlackBeard, Vieques Kayaks, Vieques Ecotrips, Wae-Vie, El Viequense Sea Tour. Make sure the biobay company that you are booking says Vieques and not Fajardo (this happens a lot when you book tru your cellphone)
They are three of this tours around Puerto Rico but the one that glows the most is Mosquito Bay, in Vieques. Make sure you don’t wear a “no deet” bug repellent and no chemicals, like deodorant, conditioner, etc. Also make sure you go in flipflops-watershoes and waterproof/dry-bag for your personal items, wear underneath a swimsuit or clothes that you don’t mind to get wet.
Make sure you are on time for the meeting time and if you don’t have a car and you are at the last tour of the night make sure you book a taxi before you go in the tour since many restaurants could have a limited menu.

Cash is the mainly accepted but when you are making reservations make sure is a Visa or Mastercard in hand. There is three (3) ATM’s in Esperanza; Duffy’s Restaurant, Blok hotel, Lydia’s Groceries Store and in Monte Santo Gas Station, Mambo’s Store in Monte Carmelo, The Isabel II Gas Station, one at the Ferry Terminal in Vieques and the two banks in Town/ Isabel II. Vieques Taxi Company accepts Credit Cards, Venmo, Paypal, Ath Movil.
